The eleventh annual gala will take place at the Thompson Hotel Dallas and will celebrate the organization’s mission to fund and advance scientific research focused on finding the causes of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
[Dallas, TX – January 21, 2025] –Aging Mind Foundation (AMF) is pleased to announce its 2025 Gala – A Night of Roaring Hope – scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Thompson Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The eleventh annual gala celebrates the foundation’s unwavering commitment and dedication to funding and advancing scientific research focused on uncovering the causes of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Co-chaired by Dawn Greiner and Cathy James, with honorary co-chairs Tracy and Ben Lange, the gala promises to inspire and uplift while raising funds for research. “My mother passed away from Alzheimer’s in March 2024, and experiencing this journey with her and my family opened my eyes to the devastating impact of this disease,” shared co-chair Cathy James. “Alzheimer’s affects not only the patient but their entire family, leaving loved ones feeling helpless in the face of such a consuming and relentless condition. That’s why it’s so important for me to get involved, raise awareness, and support research through the Aging Mind Foundation.”
Co-chair Dawn Greiner added, “This is a devastating disease that too many families are battling every single day. The impact of Alzheimer’s and other dementias is profound, and this gala is an opportunity to make a difference.”
They continued, “With the funds raised from A Night of Roaring Hope, Aging Mind Foundation can continue fueling critical research to uncover the causes of these diseases. Every contribution takes us one step closer to understanding these diseases and creating a future free from their impact.”
Guests will be treated to an unforgettable evening beginning with cocktails and a red-carpet photo opportunity, followed by a chef-driven dinner created by the Thompson Hotel’s award-winning culinary team. The night will feature exclusive live and big board auction items, curated to deliver once in a lifetime experiences, and live music that will keep the dance floor buzzing late into the night—promising an extraordinary blend of elegance, excitement, and inspiration.
Additionally, the Aging Mind Foundation is pleased to partner with The Rainwater Charitable Foundation and its funding partners to support the research grants that will be funded through the 2025 Tauopathy Challenge Workshop. Founded by Texas billionaire Richard Rainwater, RCF has invested over $130 million in neurodegenerative disease research through initiatives like the Tau Consortium and the Rainwater Prize Program, fostering collaboration among the world’s leading scientists.
AMF is proud to have LinkScripts as the presenting sponsor for this year’s event, further amplifying the gala’s impact in the fight against these devastating diseases. Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, including the prestigious Stage Sponsor level, offer a meaningful way to support Aging Mind Foundation’s mission. About The Rainwater Charitable Foundation
The Rainwater Charitable Foundation was founded by Texas billionaire Richard Rainwater in 1991. In 2009, the foundation created the Tau Consortium as a dedicated medical research program after Mr. Rainwater was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Sadly, Mr. Rainwater passed away from PSP complications in 2015, but the RCF has continued to privately fund over $130 million worth of neurodegenerative disease research. The RCF strives to convene and support the top Alzheimer’s and dementia researchers in the world through programs like the Tau Consortium, the Rainwater Prize Program, and the newly launched Tauopathy Challenge Workshop.
